Yeah, so I'm playing around with different styles again. I think this particular piece was a result of my feelings of disorientation upon first arriving in a foreign country to live for a year. It was also quite fun.
As always, but particularly with these different styles that I occasionally dip into, constructive comments are very much appreciated.
Yes, I know that there are MANY elements about this that are not right, if this was based on real life. Please notice that the category is "Surreal." Thanks!
It is quite wavy/swirly, yes. I could've gone a few steps further into the surreal and added some random swirlies and made it even -more- confusing, but this was a huge step away from realism as it was for me. Thanks for the comment!
Your content is fantastic! You're totally on a roll here. Except for the genre of outfit on the girl, it all looks pretty out there and coming straight from the depths of your mind. Don't worry about the 'swirlies' the point of surrealism is not to be random or fit into the genre of what you think surreal is, but to actually bring to life the scary and weird thoughts in your mind (which is why the girl looks out of place, but at the same time in this picture her complete real, stylized clothing makes a really REALLy cool juxtaposition with the rest of the picture). Keep doing surrealism, this looks great, it happens to be my all-time favorite genre and I'd love to see more of your stuff like this...
Thanks so much for the awesome comment. I definitely mean to go back and do more like this one day. Likely an even greater degree of juxtoposition between realism and the surreal... I really loved making this piece, but my style tends so toward realism that it was a bit difficul... well, different. Anyway, I'll be sure to let you know when I make another. I've got a lot on my list for now. You get my best comment for the day award, thank you

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
